RG570-EX 2000 model - Please enlighten me

I was on vacation recently and came across a very unique year 2000 rg,after removing the neck it said 570ex.Since it had a LO-PRO,brushed mirror sharktooth inlays, color matching headstock, and the same neck binding as my UV777,I could not resist. The color looks like platinum, silver? with no clearcoat.I have never seen one in the U.S. catalog or anywhere else. Was this a limited production?Anyone know what they sold for?Once I added a mirrored pickguard and some Dimarzio's,this thing is killer ax.For looks, playability, and sound ,it ranks up there with my 7V(well almost).Any info would be appreciated.

Thanks alot, now I want the blue one too! I found it at a guitar shop in phoenix,AZ.It still had plastic on the covers. The sales guy did not know what it was.Because of 2 small nicks,he sold it to me with case for 500 out the door. Are these available still oversea's?I may have to get the blue one to keep the other company. But I am guessing it will cost more than 500.Just goes to show once someone acheives that mystical state of desirelessness,it ends rather abruptly!

I have no idea if they're still available or not, probably though...

If I ever have enough money to take a trip to Europe(ha hahaha, yeah right), I'll be sure to get one while I'm there..

Yep they're still available

We have the RG570EX and the RG550EX which are basically dressed up versions of the regular RG500 series

The RG570EX is available in RBF - Royal Blue Flat and CPK - Cyber Pink (that grey/platinum colour).

The RG550EX is available in SD - Silver Sand (another platinum sort of colour) and GK - Galaxy Black (a silver/black metallic sort of thing)

Allegedly we also have the RG550 available in "SA" as well as black this year, but I'm still not sure what that stands for, possible the old RG570 colour "Sour Apple" ?

Actually the old RG570 color was SS - Sour apple Sparkle, at least here in the US. * (I think I was the only one who liked that color. ) *That would look cool on a 550 though. *I don't know what color SA would be, we've only had them in black here in the US for quite a few years now.

Thanks for the info gentlemen.Maybe I will get lucky on my next vacation(new orleans)and find a blue one.It would be nice if they reissued the 550dlx(lo-pro,blue mirrored pickguard)and 550ltd(lo-pro,purple mirrored pickguard).I recently found these. They look awesome on stage and are an excellent value for the dollar.Does Jeannies make colored mirror pickguards? Thanks again.
