RG570-ish Japan with no tremolo?

Hey all! New to the boards here and pumped to be here! I'm about to dive head first into my first Ibanez. I've been playing a Strat for many years but am ready to step up my technique to a more facemelting level.

I was about to pull the trigger on a great deal for a japanese RG570 when I realized that tremolo isn't so important to me. Since I'm not such a dive bomber I'd rather have a regular bridge so changing strings and setups is less of a hassle.

I've been going through the 80's and 90's catalogs but can't seem to find an RG type with a standard bridge. Seems like there are a few JS models but I couldn't find anything else.

Any ideas? Or could you guys recommend any Japanese made shredder models without tremolo? Thanks all!

If I could, I'd advocate for getting one with a trem. If you're really interested in developing "facemelting" technique, nearly every virtuoso incorporates some kind of whammy trickery, even if it's fluttering or warbling (like Jeff Beck or Steve Vai).

That said, you might want to check out the RG652. It's got the thinnest neck Ibanez currently offers, a standard bridge, and two humbuckers.

The rt series probably fits your bill best. Great neck, though not as paper thin.

I have a PGM301 that is an absolute monster guitar. Highly recommend.

You could still go for a 570 or similar and just block the trem. I rarely use the trems on my RGs but they are super comfortable to play. Plus if you ever do want to experiment with trem work you'll have the best available right there - just unblock! Many people use tremel-nos for exactly this purpose. Otherwise a PGM is great too.
