Is the RG655 a trick guitar?

Ive been on the lookout for a new guitar recently, and the RG655 just seems too good to be true. Is there something im missing here?

It has pickups normally associated with 3xxx series guitars, plus the best neck Ibanez has ever made (imo), plus the edge, and it is obviously MIJ, and to top it all off it looks like it is pretty much the cheapest prestige you can buy!

Are there any quality issues or reasons why this model is so much cheaper than it should be?

No, it's the greatest guitar ibanez has quite possibly ever made. I just wish they'd release these over here.

On paper it seems to have it all and we need a review here.

If the 655/652 are even the slightest bit similar to my 752, Matias will be proven correct. IMO, these are the single best "bang for the buck" guitars Ibanez has ever put out.

Now that they have Candy apple and White color schemes confirmed (through American Musical Supply), to me, they are the greatest guitars ibanez has released since they stopped making the original 550/570s. I love my 2550, feels amazing, but a 655 in Candy Apple? I'd sell my golden era 550CA to help pay for it. AANJ, OE, Full blown Air norton/True velvet/Tone Zone STOCK for 1200 USD? Hell yeah that's great. Better than Genesis Collection too.

I wonder if Rich will be getting any in soon. I almost think it's worth it to break my credit card limit for a candy apple 655.

Personally, I would wait to find any seconds/NAMM show samples. I got my 752 from Rich as a sample. I saved a couple hundred bucks and got a brand new, beautiful guitar. The only blemish was a super short neck joint crack. ! drop of CA insured that the crack will never get any bigger/longer.

There's a Rich-prepped 655 in the classifieds right now.

I wish they would give the 655 some nice paint options, maybe a nice flame maple top

Now I'm exciting myself.

The 655 is the modern 550, no Flame tops for that Candy Apple is what I REALLY wanted so this is great news
