RG7320?

Hey guys, first of all i'm glad to see a site where people love ibanez as much as I do, so thank all of you guys for supporting these great guitars.

anyway, I'm thinking of buying the Ibanez RG7320. I have the S7320 at the moment, and it just isn't fitting my style, I love to customize guitars, and the RG is perfect for that. I'm looking to sell the S7320, but first I wanted to ask your guys opinions, whether it is worth the trade, or if the RG7320 is a good guitar. Thanks in advanced, and keep on rocking guys!

Re: RG7320?

I have an RG7321 and I love it. I even like the stock pickups though the 7320 will probably sustain a little less and differently with a trem. Still, I don't think any RG7 can be beat with a big basswood body. I had an RG7620 that was pretty awesome MIJ goodness. You can find a 7620 on the bay for about $400 or so. In good condition you could get a better guitar than the 7320 for the same money.
Good luck!

Re: RG7320?

Only one I found on ebay was $999, and I don't have the kind of money at the moment.

An RG7320 for $1000? It's probably an RG1527Z that the guy thinks is an RG7320 (since they look very similar).

The RG7320 is a pretty solid guitar. I highly recommend it.

Re: RG7320?

I think he meant the 7620 on the bay. People selling online are being dumb. Some think it's a sellers market because the Yen / Dollar thing is skewing prices up on new models and that they can magically raise their own prices on used gear accordingly. Check out "ending soonest" and see what's actually selling and how these guitars show up again and again and again, typically at gradually decreasing prices and still with no bids. You can find a decent 7620 on the bay. You just have to be patient.

Re: RG7320?

I found one that appears to be in rough shape, but I don't think that is a big deal, as long as there is no major damage, I can sand it down and paint it again.

Anything to look for specifically when looking at these models?

Re: RG7320?

As with any guitar the big thing is the neck. This is my only big worry about buying used on the bay or c-list. Also, I've seen lots of guys dump EMG's in a 7620, which I think requires dremmeling around the pickup cavity in the wood. Those guitars would look a bit silly if you put passives back in I think.
Paint finish on most 7620's is crap from what I've seen. My old one was a vampire's kiss and all the ones I saw online have chips and dings in the paint.
Good luck!

Re: RG7320?

the one I am looking at unfortunately has EMG's in it. Is that a big deal? I was thinking of switching back to Dimarzios.

Re: RG7320?

I think I know the one of which you speak. I would avoid it personally.
