Re: RG7321 and 351DX

it's an ok deal for the RG7321. it's a great little guitar, so you should be happy with it. i own one and it is a true workhorse.

i don't have the RG351, but i have very similar guitars in the RG2EX, RGT42DXFX, RG550, etc.

RG's are just great guitars. you are here on the high end ibanez fanboy site. very few of us will knock an RG.

It's a multi piece neck. Makes it more stable that one piece of timber.

Re: RG7321 and 351DX

I have the RG350DX, which is the same as the RG351 with a floating trem. it's a great instrument, neck is amazing, as is most ibanez. The RG351 is using the Gibraltar bridge instead, it will be better if you decide to go from standard to down tune and more stable than any floating bridge. I honeslty would trade my floating for an equivalent gibraltar in a snap!

I have also painted the pickguard black, I think it looks more aggresiv, fits more my style!

As for the pickup, mostly all band you named are using the good'ol -core combo:
EMG 81
Peavey 5150/6505
TS9 overdrive

Re: RG7321 and 351DX

But I am wondering about pickups for a 7 string lol i looked on sevenstring.com and they all said you would have to route the body to make the 707 fit, and yeah the 351dx is in drop B! and the 7 string is in drop A lol, I want another ibanez it's like all natural i believe it's the rg 417 it's like 450-500 but man it's sexy and plays good! just like the 351DX.

and do you know where i could get the rg7321 bridge at? I looked on the ibanez store but can't find any!

Get over to ebay, most everything else is there. Or Sweetwater, I've had great luck sourcing the bits I need from them...

Great guitar, I have one as well!

Re: RG7321 and 351DX

does it have the Gotoh-style bridge(like a hardtail strat) or the Gibraltar standard(new style)?

Re: RG7321 and 351DX

DiMarzio D-Sonic 7 in the bridge and Liquifire 7 in the neck.

I use this combo in my RG7620. Great for what I play (Death Metal) and great through my Peavey Triple XXX (which, as a metal player, I highly recommend).

And out of curiosity, why do you need an RG7321 bridge?

Re: RG7321 and 351DX

I, personally, would just deal with it. Unless it irritates your hand, I don't see any reason to change it. But you could just replace the saddles. That'd be easier to find and cheaper.

Re: RG7321 and 351DX

Or just clean them!

A gibraltar for a 6 string will go around 40-50$ in here.
