RG7421PB

Hey Guys! So this is my first 'Official' Post aside from my introduction, so here it goes! Anyway, I'm wanting to purchase a Ibanez 7-string, and I've been looking at the various models in my price range, and found this baby at my local music store: RG7421PB
So I know the guitar could use some new pickups, and possibly some tuning machines, and maybe also a nut. But all that aside, what I wanted to know is what your guy's experience with this model / series is. I know that the Rg series is legendary in the metal world, but I wanted to know what you guys thought! Cheers! Verseus

Re: RG7421PB

idk y, but dont base it off of djent oriented forums for ur own sake

for those new get lace alumitones deathbucker 7 /humbucker 7, 3 way pup selector switch n a 250-500k push pull tone pot for split coil mode, very much worth $15-25 for it, otherwise

just keep stock hardware, but get alumas

Re: RG7421PB

I'm a power metal fan myself, so that why I selected the Pegasus over the Nazgul. The Nazgul is way way to hot imo, and it's very harsh to my ears. (sorry to any of you that like the nazgul) I do like the alumas, but I need something with more umph for the 7th string. I may be a power metal junkie, but a low 'B' can be very useful But what about your aluma's do you like?

Re: RG7421PB

Good advice on the lace pickups. I had the Deathbucker set and was blown away by the clarity. They can handle low tunings without getting muddy
