RG750, 88 or 89???

So after about 10 years of not having seen this guitar, I finally got it back. I took a bit of a hit trading it for my RGT42DXFM but as rough as it looks it plays and sounds great still! I am very happy with it!

Both pickups are F2`s, single coil is gone. It was like that when I bought this guitar from a dirty ol` pawn shop. The Hooker Headers sticker, I put on it when I was about 16 years old, that`s 15 years ago!!!

Anybody want to trade a Edge for this Schaller??? lol!

I need to somehow figure out what year it is, 88-89?

Re: RG750, 88 or 89???

it makes me thinking of my very first electric guitar.
it was crappy white aria pro II SL-STD3.
it sucks, it's plywood, neck warped, the bridge rusted so bad so i no longer could adjust the saddles of the bridge.

but it was the guitar i learn my first chops, went to my first gig.. damn i miss it so much.
sold it in 1995 and never seen it since then.

I don't think I'm that lucky to see it back in one piece...

Nice to see you got it back Chop! I'd take this 750 over ANY RGT42!!

What are the first digits in the serial# (after the F) That will tell the year.

F933923 is the serial number behind the headstock. There is no number on the neck plate as you can see in the pictures above. I`m guessing 89?

And yes I need a trem!!! Should I look for an Edge or Edge pro? I like the Edge pro on the UV77mc...

More pics.

Re: RG750, 88 or 89???

You need an original Edge or Lo-Pro. The Edge Pro won't fit without modding the body.

Hard to find?? What`s my best bet? I`m not in a hurry. Would be nice to find one in cosmo black! But it doesn`t matter.

Honestly, I dont even know what trem is what. What trem is on my UV77MC? I like it. I like the trems that have the screws to hold the strings on top of the bridge, not under...

Re: RG750, 88 or 89???

Ok I think it`s the lo-pro I want... I think the regular edge is what it would have come with.

I like this! http://www.ebay.ca/itm/IBANEZ-EDGE-T...item2a1abd2238

It cant look too new lol! Has to look used like the guitar!

Hey Chop, I think I have one of each (Edge and Lo-Pro, both are cosmo.) I also have 2 black Edge's......I'll look around for them and get back to you.

Looks like you need a string tree too..........
