no problem man...... first off, don't ever get rid of those pickups. They are somewhat difficult to get ahold of. They are also known by many (including me) to be the best pickups Ibanez ever put in a guitar. they were made bu DiMarzio in the N.Y. factory specially for Ibanez 700 series and USA custom guitars from 1989-199(3?)
The RG700 series were the super deluxe version of the RG500 series workhorses. They came in: RG750- H-S-H on a pickguard, RG760- H-S-S, and RG770 H-S-H with pickup rings (until 1993 when the pickups on the 760 and 770 were direct mounted)
The differences between the 500 series and the 700 series:
neck: 700's had a bound rosewood fretboard with sharkfin inlays/ the 500 series had standard dot inlays and no binding (in general, SOME 500's did get a 700 type neck in later years... they were called 5xxLTD's). The 90-93 700's also got a paint matched headstock.
Pick-ups: the 500 series got V7-S1-V8 pickups and the 700's got the IbanezUSA F and C-series pups. Many people do not like the V series pickups and change them out (I personally like them). The F-series were modeled on production DiMarzio's but were usually a little hotter than their DiMarzio counterpat. The were specifically designed for the Ibanez basswood guitars.
be sure to post pics!!!
