Rg7ex & Rg15721...help Please!!

Hello everyone. I could use some help/advice...

Im dying to find the RG7EX...or if worst case scenario, the RG15721, both are hard tail, black 7 strings...and neither are available in the USA as most of you im sure know. Any recommendations on sites or dealers or even members here with either of these models either new or used for sale? and if it is a site, do you know which are reliable and safe, especially overseas dealers.

thanks so much in advance...

I'm looking for a hardtail Japanese made Ibz, too. Seven or six string. Pity the only model we have in the U.S. is the Gilbert model. No flames; it's a great guitar but no other MIJ hardtail options other than the RGA's which I've already owned & didn't care for. Is the RG-15721 still available in Japan?

Yes the 15271 is still available, in addition to the RG7EXFX. Ibanez 2006 Japanese models are here: http://www.ibanez.co.jp/japan/index.html

Personally I want a 1527/15271 with the RG7EXFX neck with the offset dots

You're going to have to be a little resourceful if you're going to do this. Google and Yahoo both have online translators.

Also, as of January this was one of their international sales guys:
RIYO-TSUJI / INTERNATIONAL SALES
IKEBE MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS STORE CO.,LTD
72,KANDA SAKUMAGASHI,CHIYODAKU,TOKYO,
101-0026 JAPAN
Phone 81-3-3862-1450
Fax 81-3-3861-6190
E-mail [email protected]

AT LEAST look up the commodity number of the guitar you're interested in from the site. When I dealt with them I sent an email to [email protected] with the commodity number expressing my interest and he was the guy that responded after a few days.

For pricing yours will be the lower yen price, the higher includes a tax on sales in Japan only. Also keep in mind shipping will probably be ~$100 and an 8.67% customs fee will be due on delivery of the guitar to you. The latter fee has nothing to do with who in Japan you buy from, it's all the US government, so I doubt the seller would mention it.

Ya learn something new every day.....I wasn't aware the RG-15271 was Korean made, but Ishibashi just confirmed that it is.

Ditto, technomancer. Ace from Ishibashi answered an email I sent about one of these. I was about to pull the trigger on it till he said it was MIK. My preference is for a MIJ RG hard-tail.

Was the RG-7321 made in Japan the first year or two before moving to Korean manufacture?

Uh-oh.....
Jemsite info says the RG-15721 is a Japanese model:

Jeepers, guys. Ace emailed me this morning & said he talked to "staff of Hoshino" & found out he was wrong in his previous email. The RG-15271 (shown on the Ibanez Japan website) *is* made in Japan.
With Ibanez being made in Japan, Korea, & China, he was confused, he said. No harm done. :-)
Nice guy!
