RG7's (good one's) alive and well in Japan? - Found RG762x's

Hey everyone. *Has anyone taken a look at the Ibanez Japan site? *They have the 7620,7621,and the 2027 still listed on their site. *Also a 2127 listed. *I wonder if there's any way of having a 2127 imported here. *Also, BSB Jem is still available there too. *

I'd buy a chaep used 7620, but not new, not with the UV777BK around.
There are importers, but the one I saw charged 80% of list!

Iīve said this many times before but...
(American) people say that the Rg2027, Rg7620 and JemBSB are discontinued. But the Japanese site and at least the European catalog has those guitars. So what I think is that these arenīt discontinued. They are just not imported to America anymore.*But they are not discontinued! Thatīs also what I was told at my local Ibanez store (which is the only importer here) in Finland.
I just think that many american tend to think that if a guitar isnīt sold at their country it is discontinued.
Understand???

OoDee

P.s: Almost every time I go to my local Ibanez store, I can find a brand new Rg2027, Rg7620 and a BSB there.

LOL. Just becuase a model is discontinued doesn't mean every existing unsold model produced is vaporized the next day!

Those models are said to be no longer being produced. The fact Japan and other countries have them in stock and still in distribution is secondary. If you want one, get them now while they last The USA has a tighter distribution that does not encourage overstocking... glen

When I think discontinued, I think in terms of the US. *I know the Japanese keep on making much of the cool stuff for themselves. *Besides, the vast moronic guitar-buying public would rather shell out 1500-2000 for a crappy PRS, Gibson, or Fly than spend the money on something thats actually innovative, like the 2027 was. * PRS's aren't bad, but 2 grand, and no 7's? *No thanks.

Ibanez doesn't give a guitar a chance to catch on at all. * I'm surprised the S Classic series is still around. *Up until Staind, no one was really into them. *No major endorsee, no guitar. *
