RGA new pickups.... F-spaced bridge? normal neck? help

I am going to order some new pickups and I was wondering what the RGA needs.... even though it's a fixed bridge model, I'm pretty sure it needs an F-spaced bridge pickup... is that correct? also, should I get a standard spaced pickup for the neck or should it also be F-spaced?

I know some people don't believe it matters, but I am looking for the best possible match so that the pole pieces line up with the strings. so, what do I need?

My fixed bridge 321 uses an F spaced bridge pup and regular in the neck. I know yours has a different bridge, but you can just measure the string spacing if you can't find it online.

different bridge? the 321 and 121 are the same exact guitars except for cosmetics. anyways, thanks for responding. I guess I'll measure the string spacing to know for sure

That is incorrect. The 321 gets the Ibanez copy of the Gotoh fixed bridge and the 121 gets the Gibraltar Plus, amongst many other differences. You are thinking of the RGA 321F, and I am talking about the RG321

I tried to find the string spacing of the gibraltar bridge, but nada...

If I had to guess though, you want an F spaced in the bridge.

Std pups are 48mm spacing and F spaced pups are 51mm measuring from the centres of the two E string pole pieces. Dimarzio recommend F spacing in the neck position if the nut is 43mm wide or more and the bridge string spacing is 53mm or more.

Haha, I guess you need to be more specific in a thread about RGA series guitars, which also have a 321.

Yes, I will commit to memory the full Ibanez line as soon as possible.

And then you'll finally be like the rest of us... Then again you'd have to lose the defensive attitude so maybe you should forget about it

f spacing does not mean Floyd....it means Fender...so anything with a fender scale (25.5) will benefit from this...good luck.

Correct, the F was for Fender spaced, but it refers to the string spacing, not the scale.
