RGA7

Anyone have one of these yet?

I'm thinking about picking one up but I doubt I'd be able to play it first. I haven't played a Wizard II neck in a long time and remember not liking it, but that was compared to an original Wizard, which I now am not a fan of.

Re: RGA7

No man, they are safe at the number 3 or 4 spot.

I like the fixed bridge, & mahogany body of the RGA, I'm not sure about the neck and pretty sure I'd pull those pickups and see what Duncan has in a 7 string JB

Re: RGA7

I'm interested in it as well. I've read a couple of opinions on that guitar somewhere, they said it was good but the pickups were crap (we should be familiar with this), but there are no harmony central reviews or something like that yet. If anyone buys one, let us know what you think and post pics!

P.D, does anyone else think the headstock should have binding, like the rest of the guitar has??

Re: RGA7

For the price I will probably just grab it, I think I can get one for under $400. Maybe I will even swirl it.

Re: RGA7

First thing I will do is find some pickups that are good for shred, jazz, classical, blues, country, Satch, Batio, melodic emo core grind metal and African polka.

Re: RGA7

As long as you go with real DiMarzios you should be fine.

Rock on!

Re: RGA7

I just came across a deal on an RG7421 so I'm buying that instead. It needs some paint work so maybe, just maybe I will have it swirled.

Meh the normal Ibanez's all look the same. I've been looking for a fixed bridge 7, and the RGA7 does look nice and is cheap enough to just buy it for fun and some experimenting .

So, anyone play one yet?

Re: RGA7

I like how the RGA7 looks but I wonder how readily the pickups can be changed out or if they'd look hideous in doing so. Is that a cap on them or are the pickups actually square? I wonder if you, say, put a set of Blazes in there if you'd have this big obnoxious square hole that extends far beyond the corners of the pickups.

Wow man, just be sure to put some real F spaced DiMarzio's in them that are good for shred, jazz, classical, blues, country, Satch, Batio, melodic emo core grind metal and African polka.

Re: RGA7

It wouldn't make sense to put anything else in it.

I might try to make it the ultimate Jemsite 7 string, so when I try to sell it I wont have a problem

Swirl, real Dimarzios, new inlays, handle, everything.
