Arrow RGD7321 (?)

So, I would really like to find an RG7421XL, but there are virtually none to be found.

I really want a longer scale, fixed bridge 7 string.
I was looking at Agile's for a while, but they all have a narrow nut width, unlike most, if not all, Ibby's. (My hands&fingers are pretty big)

Few questions about the RGD.

1. How good is the Gibraltar Standard 7 bridge?

2. What's the Wizard III neck like? I know it's not as thin as a Wizard I or Prestige, but are they thinner than, say, a typical Jackson or ESP/LTD?

3. The bridge pup seems to be pretty far away from the bridge. How is that gonna affect the sound?

4. Overall worth the price, or am I better off sitting & waiting for a 7421XL?

I'm having one built by ET guitars that I may be selling as soon as it's done. I'll keep you posted if you are interested.
28" scale, strings through the body over a tune-o-matic 24 fret UV spec neck

Re: RGD7321 (?)

I have a newer RG7321 so i can't answer all your questions.
I DO really like the Gibraltar Standard bridge. It's much better than what they had on Indo models and really good in general, I think, for a fixed bridge.
The Wizard II, now III I guess, is a pretty good neck. I'd be interested in trying out the extended scale.

Re: RGD7321 (?)

How do you think the bridge pickup being that far away will sound?

Re: RGD7321 (?)

slightly warmer, probably not a big difference. the wizard 3 is nice, like a wizard 2, but more rounded. the rgd body is so nice, they should make a new series, called the rgs(rg sharp) and use that body, but with a standard scale length.
