RGR 465M opinion

I' ve found a RGR 465M-CA in a store, I can't believe that come stock with d-activator and air norton to a much lower price than an iron label, should I buy it?
Tried at the store, seems good but I'd like some expert's advice!

I already have an RG331 with an activator in the bridge and was unsure if buying the 465 or to put an air norton in the neck of 331 and basically have the same guitar (I was going to block the edgeIII anyway)

Re: RGR 465M opinion

You could get the RGR, replace the Edge 3 with an Edge pro/EZ iirc. From everything I've heard about the Edge 3, it will ALWAYS have intonation problems of some kind so if you can replace it that's the best approach. After replacing it, block the new trem.

Re: RGR 465M opinion

The 465 I reviewed a while back was brilliant. Don't know where Mattias heard about intonation problems with the Edge III, I don't think that's a common issue. The Edge Zero is NOT an easy upgrade. The Edge Pro IS.

I'd buy the guitar for sure. Replace the Edge III with an Edge Pro once it starts having issues. The rest of the guitar is great.

Re: RGR 465M opinion

But if i block the bridge with wood pieces I shouldn't have any problem ever, right?
Like having and edgeIII-fx that I read it's very good?
or not?

Yeah I guess, if you just want to block the bridge then don't even worry about upgrading the bridge. It'll be fine.

I dont remember either I have been reading so much the past couple months that I might be blending different things into one thing

Re: RGR 465M opinion

But the 465 in the store was in bad shape: oxidation signs on frets and neck joint screws, I'd buy only if they have another identical in mint conditions, because the one I played is new but not even good as an "ex demo"
