RGR570FBL - Basically a PGM

Hopefully in half an hour I'll be back up to 4 Ibanez guitars.

I was going to say it's basically a PGM but a PGM is basically just an RG and vice versa. You know what I mean.

Now it's the flake blue one and I'll give my first impressions when I actually get it in my hands.

But it's gonna be cool

hopefully !!!

Just out of curiosity has anyone else got one ?

Almost

RGR570FBL
RG R(eversed) 570 Flaked Blue. It's in the 98 cat

So mine has the sharktooth inlays and the reversed headstock.

Did you replace the neck ?

I was wondering what it would look like with white pups. Cheers

Ah, I see you euro guys get all the good stuff.. I wish mine had a reverse headstock and 'teeth!

But no, that's a 97 RG570MBL, US model.. The white pickups look great in it, if I do say so myself..

OK I've finally put the thing down after playing it for Friday, Sat and most of Sunday.

My story is....

I've always liked these when I saw then in the 98 cat. Again I think it's a PGM-alike. It has a cheesy finish which I dig and a reversed headstock. Be cool if you could get them in gold and silver tho

Several months ago I was considering a PGM90th after trying one (used) I wasn't that impressed with the price for what you get.
Patrick Deno had given me the link to his site as they had a new one (Which I've now lost) but I saw one of these RGR's *At this point I didn't have a credit card so no go.

But The Card is now active. and a PGM is on it's way BUT in the mean time......
I got a flyer through the door from a guitar store which list's it's deals and the rest is history......

OK the actual guitar playes quite well. The strings are a bit light but I'm adjusting. The action suits me. It's not super low like Simon's custom but not bad.

The pups arn't bad V7, S1 and V8 but a set of yellow dimarzios would look swell in there. Dunno what though !

Now I'm convinced I've got a strange necked 550. My 520 and 570 have the same neck but the 550 is bigger. Not Jem like though. Weird !

Anyway I've actually been praticing seriously for the first time in months. The way you do when you get a new toy.

Anyway thanks Ibanez, for another cool guitar that you don't make anymore !
