RGT42 on Machinehead's Website... Well, hello there!

Hmmm... now this IS interesting. No specs as yet (other than neck-thru and a price tag of £549), but the RGT42 certainly looks good. Now how am I going to explain this one?

It's a shame the photo doesn't pick the colours out very well, though...

The RGT42 is a pretty cool axe for the money. The main things that I don't like about it are:
-the pickups definitely need to be changed out, but that's to be expected.
-the TRS trem.
-the nasty finish on the back of the neck. At least on the RGT3120, the finish was easy to remove. The RGT42's neck is finished in the same color as the body, and would take some major sanding to remove.

Aside from those small issues, it's a killer guitar for not much cash!

I didn't know it had a TRS on it... nor the fully painted neck. Kind of spoils it. I guess I'll have to save up for the RGT3120...

I don't think I'd be too upset if somebody bought me one, though.

Man, the painted neck was what really made the RGT42 attractive to me. I really have started to like the painted necks.

A fixed-bridge version of the RGT42 would rock.
