Rio Grande 7-string pickups

Does anybody have, or have tried Rio Grande 7 string pickups? They're supposed to provide a more vintage style tone, which i'm interested in, but how's the response on the B? Sound in general? Please help!

Cool! Hope it is worth it and you don't have any niggles...

The rio grande, definetly. It's something that might be cool to think about when doing my project. Bluesy sounding stuff rom that would be cool, as well as clean and some in between combo sounds with it. Cheers!

Wow... you're getting the 7-string Sustainiac unit installed? Sweet. I'd love to hear some samples of that, especially on the low B, both clean and distorted.

I'd love to know if you can get a "cello-like" sound out of it.

I'd like to hear if they can give any real "sweet" cleaner sounds like mellow jazz tones, and brighter twangier sounds. And if you can get that deep baritone effect like the theme to Twin Peaks. That's something i've really been looking for in 7-strings.

I recently bought a 1998 USA Schecter Sunset 7 that had Rio Grande Muy Grande pickups in it. The pickups are pretty hot (18k), and have a fat sound. I had to lower the pickups a bit under the B string to get a bit clearer sound and balance. The split coil sounds seem good to me.
