How would a Rosewood guitar sound like? Where I live, rosewood isn't to hard to find, so I thought about a rosewood body/maple neck ou full rosewood custom guitar...

Fender made a beautiful all rosewood tele back in the late '60s. I heard they are really heavy. I would love to play one some day.

I just checked out the auction link, I did not know they did a reissue of it. I'm gonna have to try to find one.

Yeah, Noodles, we we're close on that one! *If you search around ebay you'll see a Jap rose tele that went for $735...seemd like a darn good deal compared to others.

You might also try Warmoth...you could probably from the parts there to snap one together.

Generally speaking, it will be very heavy and dull sounding. It'll have sort of a "thud" sound, like your strings are always 3 months old. You can design a guitar around the fact that it is rosewood, and get some pretty good tones, but if you took any typical guitar and just made it from rosewood instead of whatever it was formerly made of, you probably wouldn't like it, with teles being your best shot at retaining some brightness.
