Are rumors true about a Dino Cazares Signature model?

there is some of Dino's contacts on FB telling him on his wall "nice signature model" and "congrats on the signature model". Is this true? Will we finally be getting what has been long overdue?

It's about bloody time if it's true. Dino has been a pretty big Ibanez player for many many years.

I hope so, that'd be rad. Dino always had great customs.

I don't think he deserves a sig. Maybe its because I think he is a fat, sloppy guitar player with a gigantic ego that makes crappy music.

No need to beat around the bush like that. Just say what you think

Irrespective of what you think of his playing, ego, or weight, Dino's done a huge (get the weight pun? Get it?) service to Ibanez over the years and deserves his name on an instrument as much as many players who have their own sigs. I'd be interested in seeing what came out as the 'definitive' Dino Cazares guitar.

Pun intended?

I'm just wondering if it will have 7 or 8 strings?

Rock on!

+1

Well, I thought the fat part was rude, but the rest is totally true. I mean, I'm all for different styles of playing, and there's still a ton I need to learn myself... but this is just crappy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2JJ5ZXVqCzU

He doesn't even utilize the excess strings, and only uses it for that "extra heavy tone". And the riffs themselves were horrendous.

I've listened to a bit of Divine Heresy now, and he does actually do some soloing across the fretboard.

well then who the hell deserves a signature? you? i don't exactly remember seeing your CD in the top releases at the record store.

and what does fat have to do with anything? and how does a gigantic ego even have bearing on this? wow. how irrelevant. as for crappy music, thats just your opinion, but the charts don't lie. all the metal magazine reviews praise everything dino releases (except for the album "digimortal" which was the only crappy overall fear factory album... so clearly you do not know how to discern quality differences in that type of music.

if you dont know how to be civilized then your comments are not welcome in this thread.

So, which models are you actually talking about? Can't think of any really hot US models that aren't sold in the EU. The other way around: the RGA427Z, one of the coolest additions this year in my book.

I honestly have agree with you here. FF and DH make decent enough music, but it's all so bland, unoriginal and mediocre in every way that I just can't get into it. And from what I've heard of him he seems like a very unlikeable character.

The thing that pisses me off the most is how goddamn high he puts the guitar. After it's so high that it rides above your breast it is simply unnecessary, no matter how much you hunch over the guitar when you aren't wearing a strap. Rusty Cooley puts his guitar lower than Dino for Christ's sake! And it's not a weight thing either, you just don't run out of guitar strap that fast.
