S 570 Help with identification please

Hi everyone,

I'm about to put up for sale my S 570 (or so I think it is) and I'd like to get my facts right
Serial is F924921, and the neck plate has the Bensalem, USA address.
IBZUSA C2 and F2. Edge trem
So am I correct to say that its an S570 assembled in US with japanese parts? (quote IBZRules)

I just saw those pics somewhere else. Nice guitar.. looks clean. I'm no expert, but I think it's 540s? either way I like it!

Re: S 570 Help with identification please

That's an 1989 S540, not a 570.

570 in Ibanez terms would be HSH, not HSS, and even HSH S-series guitars were called the 540 at one time or another.

PS: Love the white finish. Wish my S540LTD was white...

Re: S 570 Help with identification please

well the catalog calls it a 540S, not S540. might be something to note considering S540's have HSH configs (as well as other 540S models apparently, but i'm sure there aren't HSS S540's). silly ibanez

Yep except when this was made the "s" would be after the number. It's shown in the catalogs of the period.

Awesome guitar !

Eh, letter in front, letter in the rear, it's all the S-Series, IMO. :P

The Sabre is what they called it until someone sued them over that name(I wanna say Music Man?).
