I saw it on the bay one day and said I had to have it.

It is the smoothest playing, feeling, looking guitar out of all my axes. Even better than my 90 Jackson Fusion. I'm stoked to compare it to my J Custom 8470 when it gets here.

Ahhhh S-man...

good to know about the tung oil. I have an old RS440 neck I took the paint off of and it's sitting here naked.

Re: The S series guitar thread.

wow,

no powder blue or salmon colored Gambale's huh?

I'm thinking of getting my black one swirled something like this.

Waiting to hear back from Patrick since Herc has closed new orders.

Re: The S series guitar thread.

Onkay, here's my "S" kids - sorry for so many pics:

430S in red with Dimarzio Brian May pups (this actually now has a maple Carvin neck on it):

540S with custom built 5 piece neck by Frank Falbo:

470SF MIJ stripped down to bare mahogany:

470 with a conversion to Edge trem, TZ, HS2, Air Norton, and a stripped Proline neck:

540SDY - neck pup routed to humbucker, at the time had my 540PII neck on it, but now has a forward headstock sharky wizard:

Re: The S series guitar thread.

There's a couple more in this one, too - a 540S in Carribean Blue that I traded and a 470SV, MIJ with Viper neck:

Work in progress - I was going to use my 470SV Viper neck on this, but I have since found a different neck, so the Viper went back on the SV:

Re: The S series guitar thread.

Apprently, this is a LTD edition. The finish is called 'monster skinned'. I can't say I like it, personally.

These are very cool, imo.
