Re: S series Online Re-Issue Petition

According to the guys at Bensalem this is one of the best ways to make it happen.

Dee did the same thing for the RG 20th. Ibanez rep.s have said that it was a major factor in considering it's release.

Thanks for signing and tell your friends!!!

Long live the S....

Re: S series Online Re-Issue Petition

I would much rather see this than the newest "reissue"

Re: S series Online Re-Issue Petition

Instead of a reissue, I think they should do a nice glam-model, with a nice AAAAA top, beautiful inlays, and all that.

Re: S series Online Re-Issue Petition

Sounds like an Idea for a J-custom.

We are trying to be realistic. Asking for custom configurations is probably not very productive. Everyone will have their own take on what it should have.

If you look at the recent re-issues they have remained fairly true to the originals.

Signed.

And a exact reproduction is far more likely to be made than a glamed up model in my honest opinion. Not to mention I as a few others probably wouldn't even like the glamed up model. Look at the Jem20ths.

Re: S series Online Re-Issue Petition

Well, I was thinking of a limited run, 200, maybe 500 guitars... but REALLY good and beautiful guitars.
Something like the SAS series, but with REAL wood and detailing, proper pickups, edge trem, and 24 frets
Something like the Gibson Guitar Of The Month stuff... I want one... can't decide on the Shred-X or the 50th Explorer...

So I REALLY prefer it when guitars DONT come with "nicer" pickups that increase the cost at all because Im not using the stock pickups on any of my 5 Ibbys.

Pickups are an easy modification for after purchase stuff and in my opinion are a waste to focus on on Ibanez's end. Things like inlays, wood types, bridges etc. are the things I look for in specialty guitars.

Re: S series Online Re-Issue Petition

well if the guitar comes with "proper pickups" i usally throw them in either a lowend guitar I buy off the bay or I sell them to friends.

They're nice to have. I much rather have a run of 1889. I want these guitars affordable and available. Though thats unlikely. Atleast 400 avialable in each color (for the world not just the US)
