S1220WF vs. RG620XGK

Well, what I'm going to mainly be using these guitars for is for playing barre chords for a church choir. Right now I'm using a crappy 'Nez with an acoustic simulator that functions.

I like the looks of the S1220 better, but I probably could live with the RG. But I heard the finish comes off on those natural finished guitars pretty easily, so that could be a drawback. But it is prestige built, so that is a major turn on.

Again, I don't like the looks of the RG series as well, but it would fit my needs pretty well. It has the piezo pickup system, so I wouldn't need an acoustic simulator, its painted so finish rubbing off wouldn't be a problem. Its not prestige built as the S1220 is, but its made in Japan with the same bridge (other than its a double edge.)

What would you guys prefer, and what are more pro's and con's that I would need to consider?

One more thing...does anyone know what kind of neck joints these guitars have?

If you like the S, search for a used S2020x w/piezos. They can be had for just a bit more than a new 1220.

Well, I don't really want a used guitar, and the 1220 or the RG will pretty much deplete me of all my money.

I would go for the S-series because it's a prestige model...
About the finish, it's just how you use them!
I have a guitar for six years now that has a padauk top and I've never had any such problems...
Cheers!
