S470QS -MIJ???

Where there ever any S470QS's MIJ? I am considering buying one and I can't tell from the pics if it was MIJ or MIK. It has a bound fingerboard and it looks like a TRSII, and it's transparent red.

Re: S470QS -MIJ???

There were a couple of mij s470s, but those had the lo trs (not trsII). (There were also mij ones with a lo-pro edge in the early '90s) Anyway, those were mostly sold on the european market and did not have a bound fingerboard. But I know there were loads of mik ones with a quilted top and if you are sure the trem is indeed a trsII, then the guitar is definately korean.

I have a friend with a metallic green (don't know the official color name) RG470 that was MIJ. It has the original Edge trem, the square heel joint, and seems like a Wizard II neck. Very nice guitar.

Anyways, the tremolo model should give you the biggest hint.

Cool. Thanks for the info. I know alot more about RG's than I do about the S's. Even though the first Ibanez that I really liked was a Saber...
I think that I would prefer to avoid an mik. But, I have a limited budget. So, maybe an mij RG470 or something...
