I guess noone cares about the s7420, and anyway why would u want an s7420 when they still have the rg7620 for the same price??? i for one, don't like the fact that it only has 22frets and that icky trs trem.but ido like the body, maybe if i could put the rg7620 neck and trem on the s body. anyone know if that could be done?
They haven't had the 7620 for 6 weeks..........that is why I thought some people who weren't quite as "well off" as others on this site appear to be, I thought that maybe someone would be interested. I have the Edge and the TRS, yes the Edge is better. Is the TRS as bad as most people whine it is on this site? IMHO I don't think so. It is basically a Floyd Rose! I remember when they were pretty good! Is there someone on this site that maybe can't afford a UV? I am sure there is. As for the 7620, I tried to order one myself the middle of October and they were gone. Not to mention that MF and AMS promptly raised the price of the 74xx series from $399 to $599.

I have owned both the 76 and 7420. I have to say the worry about the TRS bridge is unfounded. I actually put a blindfold on a friend and gave him both guitars. He could not tell one from the other, as far as feel. He did detect a sound differance. My 7420 never went out of tune and I have no problem with the TRS bridge. Yes its not as nice as a Lo Pro, but the going out of tune thing is hype. IMOP I love my 7620 and its my primary guitar and at 449.00 from AMS you cant afford to pass up such a great deal unless you can find a 7420 dirt cheap !
We're not starting this debate again. The TRS has poorer tuning stability than the Edge/Lo-Pro. That is old news, nothing to argue about. No myth. The 7420's are made in korea and the 7620's are made in Japan. We know the quality of the Korean guitar's are (generally) subpar to their Japan's cousins. I'm not saying 7420's are horrible guitars, just that generally the 7620 are a bit nicer. Case closed.
The $449 7620's have been gone for 2 months. That isn't an issue any longer. The S7420 is now going for $449 which would be a great deal if it was the FM as the topic says but it's not, it's just the black model . If it was the FM you could by that and a LoPro and have a decent guitar with a cool top for a great price.

Incorrect, the 7420's are made in Japan. Serial #'s begin with a F, F factory being Japan. For further info, just check the 7 string summary page here.
No, never been a S7620, just the S5407 back in the day.
And yes, unfortunately the 7420 has a TRS
