sc 420 vs sca 220?

whats the differences besides color and pu's? is the 420 that much better to dish out so much more? if so why? and how much would a 2nd hand cost in players condition (both models)?

The SC420 is Japanese, the SCA220 is Korean. They have different pups and finishes.

I have the 420 and it's a fantastic guitar. My sisterinlaw has the 220, and it is also very nice.

I don't know that I'd shell out the cash for a new 420 again when the 220 is so much cheaper and still is a great guitar.

But cosmetically, I do still like the 420 much better, with the wood binding.

i own a sc420 in BC, and definitely prefer it over the 220. P20 is right on all accounts, but missed one thing. the sc420 is thinner on the outsides than the 220. the 420 is appointed much much better than the 220. both have the same pickups, but for the life of me can't stand. mine was in a very very good condition when i bought it and had since then become my main stage guitar(due to the hipshot d-tuner and stop tail-we did drop D and standard all night long. easy to just flick a lever) and had tons of "love". i recently stripped it and put a paf pro in the neck that replaced the F2 i had in it. it has a tone zone in the bridge and has a very spooky les paul studio/prs ce22 vibe to it now. plus the mahogany body with a satin finish(2 coats of satin poly) is just gorgeous. for the price of a new one, tho. i have seen several prestige s classics on ebay at damn good prices. the one i wanted was an sc1620 with an air norton and tone zone that went for $550. another guy had a bone stock one for $750. either way both are excellent deals if your looking for "ibanez's PRS".
