Schoen Guitars

I had this guitar custom built for me by a buddy of mine by the name of Kurt Schoen. I was looking for a Gretsch-y guitar with a single humbucker. The top is a deconstructed shipping crate from the late 1800's. The back and sides are salvaged lumber from a home in New Orleans damaged by hurricane Katrina. More photos can be seen by clicking the link below as well as many other Schoen creations.

Re: Schoen Guitars

Yeah, love the 'key' tuners. That's inspired.

I was very fortunate to be able to work off the debt...it only took a couple of years.

Re: Schoen Guitars

Love the top on the Gretsch style guitar - and I also love the high explosives back on the Depp guitar - very cool!
