So ever since I picked up an old Hamer Centaura a few months ago, I've been trying to join the forums at
www.hamerfanclub.com . I guess these people don't like new contributers, because they've put about 38710983275139084759830214732089147132 measures in place that prevent people from joining and posting.
The first 2 or 3 times I tried to join, I would complete their little sign up forum, and it would say that confirmation e mail had been sent. Uhh, no. No e mail would ever get sent.
This most recent time, on Thursday, it FINALLY actually sent this "confirmation" e mail, and I'm at least able to log in to an account on the forum now. However, it won't let me post nor will it let me PM any of the moderators.
There is a link in the e mail to "activate" my account, but when I go to the link, it says:
"Sorry, an error occurred. If you are unsure on how to use a feature, or don't know why you got this error message, try looking through the help files for more information.
The error returned was:
Sorry, you cannot perform this action until the board administrator has approved your account"
There is NO WAY to contact anyone associated with the site. There is NO e mail address ANYWHERE. There is a link that says "contact the forums administrator", but it's a dead java link.
So screw them and check out my 1990 USA made Hamer Centaura, in the rare Candy Apple Red finish! Picked it up for $250!
I just picked up a 1988 Chaparall the other day too, in snakeskin! I'll post a pic of that next time I bum my singers camera.
