How do you find out via the serial # where the guitar was made? I'm looking at an RG 570DX sn# CE F9937442 and a RG 770 sn# F006489. Are there catalogs out there for 90's Ibanez guitars, so I can find out what they are equipped with?
You can ignore the CE. F means Japan (the Fuji Gen-Gaki factory); C, S and W mean Korea (the Cort, Samick, and World factories, respectively).
There are old catalogs on Rich's site; see the swirly IbanezrRules banner at the top of the page.
