mhh i must admit i've fallen in love with this one :
has anyone put his hands on it or even saw it ?
i can't find it anywhere in a shop, i think it is a limited edition and a replica of an old ibanez guitar. Fully acoustic. From a new serie Artcore/Bluesy apparently.
If you have info about what looks like a gem, please let us know.
I have the AK85, which is similar, but with two pickups. The Artcore series are good value; if you can pick the actual guitar that your buy, i.e., play it first.
The Artcores are sensational value for money, but very inconsistent - I have played and set up plenty of them at our local Ibanez dealer, and you can have two identical models next to each other - one will feel like a $3000 Gibson, the other will be untuneable - so the trick, I believe, is to play the actual guitar you want to buy - don't go to an internet store. The frets are usually passable, but improveable, the pickups are useable, but immediately removing the stock pickups from your Artcore and throwing them off the end of the nearest pier as hard as you can, and quickly dropping in a pair of PAF style pickups will improve the guitar immensely!
thanks for your help guys,
but i'm looking for more specific info about the AK84, which is fully acoustic.
I read that the guitar is ok for slide playing, and i'd like to know more about that. I'm looking for a guitar to play both in slide and normally.
thanks!
It is because of the flying bridge. it can be in a wrong position.
