The setup and pics of my new RG520QS

you may have seen my thread about my sa220ex a couple months ago. since then, i've picked up an rg520qs. this is my first time dealing with a locking trem, and i haven't had anyone teach me anything about them. everything you're about to see is a product of jemsite and ibanezrules. so let's see...the board was pretty dirty and the strings needed to go.
before:

after some steel wooling + some oil. the darker spots around the frets are just oil concentration. after it dried, the board was one continuous dark color:

mmm:

more:

headstock strings before removing some slack:

after tuning and stretching:

not quite perfect. made some adjustments later and it evened out a little more, but i don't have any pics of that:

sweet. i'll get some pictures of the guitar later. big thanks to all of you and especially rich - his nine page guide is amazing.

Lovin the grain, have you polished the frets? coz it looks kinda oxidized to me. The condition looks really mint (dark room, cant judge properly), headstock area is just awesome. Congratz~

nope, i haven't polished the frets. i need to!
it's near mint i bought it two weeks ago and it was labelled new, which is crazy considering it's a 2000 model. the plastic covers were still on the pickups, trussrod cover and back plates. no dents, dings or scratches.

Re: The setup and pics of my new RG520QS

Great job dude. I love RG 520's I have two TB's and a TK. One of the TB's has a FRED in the bridge and a PAF PRO in the neck. I will get some pics and post them shortly.

They are such an underated axe and are relatively easy to pick up on the cheap and have so much to offer.

Its a really nice feeling when you start rubbing oil on the board, the way it comes alive... its almost like you dont wanna stop rubbing so it gets more and more beautiful

congrats man
