Should i pimp my RG?

I recently got an RG1520A that looks like this

I am very pleased with the look as it is today but i thought a little touch up might spark it up a little bit.

First i thought just to put some color on the pups and controls like this.

But something is still lacking so i thought a white pickguard and a white truss rod cover might do the trick.

And wow! I think this looks really good! It looks like a completely new guitar.

Am i stupid to drill holes in a new guitar and put on that pickguard? Will it lower the value much, even if the guitar gets more attractive(up to preference of course)?

it looks nice either way you have it lol,but the white scratch plate and white pups does set the guitar off nicely.

I think if you're going to do the plate keep the zebra pickups for contrasting dynamics.

+1

I think if you drill holes in top of that guitar you will eventually regret it
