So I just tested a new RG350DX, but the specs were all goofy

According to the Ibanez website, an RG350DX has a Wizard III neck and an Edge Zero II tremolo.

The one I played had a Wizard II neck and Edge III trem.

The guy at the store told me the new ones are back to the Wizard II necks and Edge III trems.

Also, the frets sucked. They were not very smooth along the edge of the neck even compared to some of the other, cheaper Ibanezes, including an RG2EX2 (which I had never heard of before, which also has a Wizard II neck). It was uncomfortable to move my hand up and down the neck because the frets weren't smooth.

I was not a fan and was kind of disappointed.

The guy at the store was misinformed. What you played was old stock that's been hanging on the wall for a while, I'm guessing.

So RG350DX used to have Wizard II and Edge III, correct?

Are the frets smooth along the edge of the neck? That was the biggest turnoff about the one I tested out.

That can happen to any guitar as the wood shrinks. It's an easy, quick fix.
