The weight is also something that would get on my nerves after a while. One of the reasons I sold my RG3120 was the weight. Coming from using lighter guitars such as the RG550 and RG750 to an RG3120 was not easy. I never used it in live situation, and I am glad I didn't because it would have made my shoulder ache for a week. I used a Les Paul in some rehearsals a while back and tried to do a solo but I had to switch back to the RG because the LP just couldn't get the job done.

So, heavy and limiting, but occasionally quite pretty... it's just not for me.

Yeah, it's like having a drop dead gorgeous girlfriend thats cr*p in bed

First guitar? Cool

I'm with Dee on the weight of the guitar, but I do admit I do love the way they look. In an ideal world I would have kept my custom because it was nice to look out and on the odd occasion play! Oh well, I'm sure it's gone to a good home:

You might be right. I saw a nice looking sea foam green Tokai LP copy on e-Bay a couple of days ago, though.

I have one. It's a Studio. And I love it even though I'm only a beginner. I've got it and an American made Stratocaster.

Re: So who here is into Les Pauls?

I recently used to and had 1) a LP Custom 68 silverburst The Darkness (1 out of 10 made - I really regret it) 2) a LP ARTISAN 3 pu 3) a LP Custom 35th anniversary. All were sold for good IBANEZ reasons but they are not forgotten.
