Solid body Archtop vs. Flattop

Ok I now I don't want to start an S vs. RG battle here but I am interested in what people prefer archtop or flattop? Personally I tend to lean towards arched but can't help but notice the overwhelming amount of signature guitars out there that are flattopped. So lets hear it arched or flat???

Re: Solid body Archtop vs. Flattop

Good question.
I don't need an archtop to feel comfortable - the armcutaway on "flattops" is enough for me.
Actually, most times flattops feel better for me than archtops, because whereas the flattop only has one convex curve that gives continuous support, archtops sometimes have an overkill carving that leaves certain "blindspots" in forearm support.

I like my archtops to be hollow or semi-hollow, personally.
