Someone please enlighten me on the Blazer

Sorry, but my search came up with nothing specific to the Blazer. Local CL guy wants $150 for an early 80s Blazer with hard case. What do I need to consider here, or should I bother at all? Thanks in advance.

Go play it and see if you like it. If you like it enough and have the money then buy it.

Ha! I guess I deserve that. Just wondering about the intrinsic nature of this guitar, but I get you.

The Blazers can be cool guitars if looked after. But like I said, at that price try it and if you like it buy it.

Can you post the link? There are LOTS of different Blazers, some are better than others.

Re: Someone please enlighten me on the Blazer

Well, it does not come with a case, and it is missing the original brass knobs and bridge pickup. See if I can grab it for $100. Guy says it plays great, so I'll check it out this weekend. Thanks for the help.

Re: Someone please enlighten me on the Blazer

NVM.... I found it.

That's a BL170. It's not "custom made" but rather customized. Someone cut up the original pickguard to delete the phase switch.

I'd save the $$ and wait for a nice '86 Roadstar II guitar to come along. They go for about the same prices..............

Thanks, that's why I post my questions here! Yeah you could tell it has been beat, and really I thought if I could get a case with it it wouldn't matter. But I don't need just an old beater. I appreciate your help RG... cheers.

NP man.......like I sad, you could wait around for an Edge equipped '86 and get it in the same price range ($150-$250). My son's bought my '86 RG410 from guitar center for $175.
