Something old, something new, something blue....

After playing the RG550s at NAMM I knew that I had to get one and scored this RFR from the Guitar Ranch. Great playing guitar and imo I believe it is a better guitar with the 5 piece neck being more stable. I do have to replace the pups, thinking of going EVOs. My one complaint is once again the hardware paint comes off VERY easy, the screw on the pickguard above the trem was paint free after 2 hours of playing.

The RG565 is a workhorse loaded with a JB and Hotrails and the trem is blocked for just downward action. Relic'd the real way.

The RG1527 is my guilty pleasure and just so fun to fly on.

RG565 rules. I was in love with my 550 too, but now I'm having doubts.

I have about 20 hours on the 550 and I am pretty sure after a pup swap I will be totally happy. I wish the fretboard edges were more worn in at the factory but it will get that way with time.

Agreed...565s rule!

Sweet!

That 550 really glows doesn't it? I bet you could see it from the moon.

Congrats on a nice collection. I was in H.S. when these RGs first came out (I still have a beat-up '88 catalog -lol) and always loved the crazy colors. I'm considering pulling the trigger on a DY 20th.

Not an RG fan, but I can't help but to envy you. Nice collection, what is that red guitar? It looks like a 540p2 but not the same body.
