Re: speedloader system

I talked with Floyd about it a bit at NAMM last January. Looks good. I may try one on a future project...

Re: speedloader system

Uh...yeah....The Floyd Rose Speedloader isn't new at all. I haven't played a guitar equipped with one personally so I can't comment on how good it feels but I do hear that string changes are really easy with it and you can make the trem stop floating with the turn of a knob.

Re: speedloader system

Has been around for some time now, from what I've people who have used seem to dig it. Personally I'm not to happy a trem system where I have to buy special strings for the system.

Regards

André

Re: speedloader system

The speedload system is actually pretty cool as once you pop the strings in, the guitar is in tune. None the less, there are drawbacks with the biggest being the fact that you gotta buy SPECIAL strings and they don't come in all gauges. The last time I checked you could only get either a set of 9's or 10's for it. Wanna detune your guitar?? You'll have to readjust the trem and hope that it's properly intonated.

That and a headstock just doesn't look right without machine heads. Saw a guy put on the speedloader on an RG570 he had and he removed the machine heads. It looked real wierd like it had 6 bullet holes or something.

Re: speedloader system

i have a speedloader. i think they were kidding when they called it speedloader though.its not as speedy as they say.but once you get them in and tuned(tuning takes forever and is pretty hard) its the coolest thing ever. never goes out of tune. so im kind of neutral with it.
