To Strat loving shredders. . . . .

. . . . . . I think I played the PERFECT guitar for you guys!

http://www.jacksonguitars.com/produc...tno=2913052576

It's the Jackson Adrian Smith SDX. Good pickups, resonant body, plays like a dream and is built to last! Tremolo isn't the best but it wasn't s**t either!

Now, the SDX is definitely the cheaper model but man is the neck awesome!!! It's thin but comfy. Best part? It was only $500!

I'll definitely be getting one of these and will be using it for my punk band. I played the model with the white pickguard and rosewood fretboard, by the way. Torn as to whether I should get the one I know I liked or take a risk and get the Maple fretboard/Black pickguard version.

Re: To Strat loving shredders. . . . .

bad ass, love the super strat look. I thought they were only available in Europe. Are they selling them in the US now?

By the way the one above is the US made model...

I know it is, but they look exactly the same. I wasn't paying too much attention to minor details.

And yes, they're available in the US now.

that is a sweet looking guitar (I love white strats, as you can see from my avatar pic ;o) I like the look of the all white model but I really like maple boards so it's kind of a toss up for me...I like them both

Sadly, I'm the opposite. I like the black pickguard but I'm a bigger fan of the rosewood.

I'll probably just get the Maple/Black and paint the pickups white

You can always just get a new pickguard. They're pretty cheap.

I'm loving the look of these. I'm gassing big time for the maple fretboard version. They won't be $500 in Australia though, probably more like a grand.

This doesn't exactly remind anyone of a Jem

Hell, I don't even want one of these for shred! I'll be playing punk on it.

Re: To Strat loving shredders. . . . .

In the past I would have said the So-Cal was the better deal.
http://www.amazon.com/Charvel-Produc...l+so+cal+white

But I think they have shut the factories down in Japan where they made them and now they are discontinued. A good used one for sure then. Although the prices on those may go up since they are discontinued.
