Strat for LP Studio?

Someone is interested in trading their Gibson LP Studio in Fireburst for my Classic 50's Strat plus Behringer X V-Amp. I've decided that I want to have the feel of a Les Paul and a shorter scale. Besides if I don't like, I can always sell it off (Gibbys have some resale value here in Malaysia). Plus I'm going to have some experience with a fixed bridge. Do you guys think its a good deal?

If it were me, I'd keep the strat especially if it's a classic 50's strat.

I thought that too. My sale didn't go so well, and this guy offered me an LP Studio. Hopefully if I still have a craving for a 2xxx series axe, I can sell the LP for a price that can buy it.

Re: Strat for LP Studio?

I'd do it, you should be able to get more for a LP than for a mexican strat.

I'm feeling quite sick today. My mother is worried that I might have dengue . Anyway, the whole syllabus has finished, so we're not learning anything new. Besides, I'm using the time I have at home to study, but I'm using the computer now because I'm having a break. I'll be getting back to my studies soon .

Re: Strat for LP Studio?

If it's a LP studio from the early 90s, they weren't any lower quality than the standards were really..

I thought the quality was about the same. I've always thought that the reason the Standard was more expensive because of the cosmetics i.e figured top, binding, and it's Burstbucker pups.

Re: Strat for LP Studio?

I'd swap for the LP. Especially if you can resell it for more if you don't like it.
