String Gauges For RG 7321!! NEED HELP!!!

Hello guys! I need Your help for a Monster Tuning.
I'll soon buy my First Seven String Ibanez RG 7321 !

http://cgi.****.de/IBANEZ-RG-7321-7...QcmdZViewI tem

I think it has a 25.5 inch scale!! And I wanna put a monster tuning on it
From low to high
F#-B-F#-B-E-g#-c#
And i Want to know wich gauge of string is the best for only the Low F# string and fits perfect for that scale!
Can i use a normal Dean Markley Bass Guitar string? .70 between .80??

Please help me out!

Re: String Gauges For RG 7321!! NEED HELP!!!

I've tuned my 7321 to F before, yes a .70 will fit in the bridge and the tuners, but once I got into the .80 range its hard to get the string to go through the tuning post hole. I prefer the .80's for F tuning, I've used 70's in standard B before they were just right for me.

Re: String Gauges For RG 7321!! NEED HELP!!!

I used to have a 7321 with the PSND humbuckers and I rocked it with Ernie Ball 11's "Power SLinky's" (purple pack). Best advice I can give you is, don't get ahead of yourself, get a feel for the guitar and try many different guages and tunings as you go along. I think somewhere along the way you will find the string guage and tuning that works best for you for you, and your specific, individual, unique 7321.

With my 6 string guitars, I always use Dean Markley Medium 11-52 and tune it in Low to high:
B-F#-B-E-g#-c# And i'll try Ernies too!! Thanx for your advice!

See yaa
