Sunn Mustang Strat swirl

This my second complete swirl, its a sunn mustang strat. I replaced the pick-up covers and knobs, gave it a neon green, red, yellow and black swirl. Clear coated in 2k poly. for a cheap guitar it looks really good. What do you all think?

Re: Sunn Mustang Strat swirl

Personally I think the pickguard cover too much of the swirl, it's hard to get a proper look (I want to see more!) Other than that I think it looks good. I would not return it.

Have you tried to it with the pickguard attached?

Yes your right, the guard does cover a lot of the top, thats the only problem with the front routed guitars, I have also done an ibanez RG548 omc and a yamaha RGX420 gmc, both are rear route and dont have pick guards, just need to re-assemble them. I will start threads on them, with pics once done. Thanks dude. ;-)

I wont be spending anymore money on it as its up for sale, plus I dont fancy showing off all the guts and wiring through a clear guard.
It should make a darn good first or second guitar for some one.

Re: Sunn Mustang Strat swirl

I only purchased it so I could practise swirling a guitar and then sell it on, if I make myself a small profit and get some folding beer vouchers for it I will be very happy. The guitar does play pretty good, I was wondering about the history of these, were they before squire??? whats the story with em???? Im glad you all like it.
