Swap A Les Paul For A 7620?

I recently saw an ad in Norway. A guy wanted to swap his Ibanez RG7620 with a case for a Gibson Les Paul. I have a Gibson Les Paul Studio, which I hardly ever use anymore because of my 7 strings. So I was thinking maybe I should swap with him? What do you guys think?
I'm gonna email him now and see if I can get some pics n stuff...

I've always had a weakness for LP's so I would have a hard time parting with it. But if you like 7's, and are sure you can live without the LP, I would definately go for it. 7620's are good guitars. Good luck with it.

In the states, that'd be a horrible deal, as the price has totally dropped out on the things. Norway? you'd be looking at about a grand on the used market... What could you get for your LP Studio out there? i know they're about a grand new here, and not too much less used (Gibsons and Fenders piss me off like that, they've been around so long that they hold value ridiculously). If the trade's about fair, or tipped in your favor, i'd say do it. That is, if you'd prefer 7 strings to 6 (which is the way i personally feel... )

Yea I have to say I do have a weak spot for my Gibson, it was my first high quality guitar. I'm in Australia now so I have to wait till I go back to Norway, but I'm not sure...I love my Gibson, but I hardly use it much...
