Swapping bodies.

What's up. I have a 91 rg570 that I love the neck on. The body however is wrecked. I would like to get a new body for it, unfinished, there seems to be plenty out there, but they all have the AANJ pocket. My neck is a square heel. Has anyone successfully installed a square heel 24 fret neck to an AANJ body. I am a woodworker and can shape the neck as needed if that is all that needs to be done, I am just curious if the scale length is affected, or some other thing. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Re: Swapping bodies.

I'm pretty sure ET Guitars, and Jaden Rose can build you an RG body with the old style heel for a reasonable price. Check the adevrtisers at the top of Jemsite pages.

Re: Swapping bodies.

The fretboard lip is different from square heel to AANJs. square heels show up every now and then on the bay too. Usually Jewel Blue or Black. The hard part is finding one without stress cracks in the pocket.

Thanks for the replies. I really don't care about color, I would strip it down anyway. I am a wood color kind of guy. I will check out the suppliers. Thanks again.
