Taste the rainbow (I am now complete)

This is probably self-explanatory...

That's left to right: RG3120-DR Prestige, RG1220-QMTO USA Custom, RG1680x-AM J-Custom, RG1880-BGS J-Custom, RG3120-TW Prestige, and RGT3120-TV Prestige

As if it's not obvious, I love maple tops! (and I didn't even get all the maple tops in the pic... I still have my American Master, RG7-CT, JPM90, RG-ART, but they're not consistently any color of the rainbow)

Ok, so it didn't take me as long to fill out the collection as it took Kevan to find the mystical RG-Egypt, but I still feel like I've completed a quest, as useless as it may be, that I've been working on for several months now. And it looks pretty sweet as is, but unfortunately I've got guests coming over later so I guess I'll have to clear off the couch yet again...

Most importantly... this is proof positive that Prestiges, J-Customs, and yes, even USA Customs can co-exist peacefully on the same couch and not beat each other up. Why can't we just learn from the guitars?

Thanks to everybody who has helped in the process, including Rich (twice!), Rick, Chris, Kirk, and some random guy who put the deposit down on my first 3120 but never came through with the cash, giving me a heck of a deal and introducing me to the world of mahogany-bodied flame-topped pointy-headstocked direct-mount-Dimarzio-equipped guitars.

Enjoy!

Nice, Brent. Maybe TOO nice. You're creating a calidescope (sp?) of envy.

You are like the Hugh Hefner of guitars, all those beauties just laying around waiting for you to play with them

Seriously, though, gorgeous collection!

Thanks for the compliments, folks!

This actually became a secret obsession of mine back in 1999-2000, when just about every production model Ibanez released was black, white, grey, silver, or some variant of the above. I vowed to myself that I would own an Ibanez of at least every color of the rainbow. I had a couple red ones (including an RG1200), a couple amber ones (including a RG570CT), and a couple purple ones (including a USRG30) along the way to completing the lineup.

The lessons learned:
1) Green and orange are sorely lacking in the Ibanez product line
2) The Japanese market always has a better variety of colors available, so if you're tired of black & white, you can always try importing something.
3) Of course, there are lots of great colored guitars in the early 90's, so don't forget about USA Customs!

Having achieved this goal, interestingly enough, my most recent purchase has been a Les Paul Classic. So I'll probably be selling off the rainbow collection to buy a couple more Les Pauls soon. (not!)

2003 Jemfest is going to be held at my house.

He's got you there. Thinking of changing your name to Roy G. Biv by any chance?
