Taylor 410ce - I think I'm in love.....

Just last week, the UPS man stopped at my house and delivered the LAST (yeah, RIGHT!) guitar to be added to my collection - A Taylor 410ce. *With my main dsy jem down for a tweaking and a good scrubbing when I have the time to sit down and do this, I've been playing the Taylor LOTS and I love it. I've been looking for a good acoustic on & off for the last year and after playing everything I could get my hands on, I decided on the Taylor based on action, tone, and electronics. Are there any other Taylor owners here? Any good or bad experiences with yours? I want to hear them all, good or bad.....

Not an owner yet, but I'd really like a 314 or 414CE one of these days! *Haven't picked up an acoustic that's made me happier than a Taylor.

Big agreement here. *I love my 412ce. *A small voice, not real bassy. *But I always roll off the bass when recording a dreadnaught anyway, and the 412 allows me to play comfortably while lounging on the sofa...

Most people like Taylors because they play like electrics. *I prefer nice big dreadnaught bodies with fuller sounds... but to each his own. *Never seen a Taylor with any real problems to it, they seem to hold up well. *Just a matter of if you like how it sounds or not.

Oh, yeah. *SOLO, a dread is boss. *Around a campfire, there's nothing better. *Bass, volume... *But layer a few tracks and add a bass guitar, and it muddies up quick.

Actually, it plays very nicely but I didn't get it for that. *But then, I don't put .012's on my electrics, either...

I have a K14-C and love it. I went with the external Fishman (beltpack). Same pickup, I just couldn't punch a big ol hole in all the beautiful Koa like that.

Taylors are wonderful instruments.

Cool, thanks for the replies guys. About the only negative thing I've ever heard about them (from a VERY small minority) was that they are "delicate" *in regards
to humidity and temp. *The responses I got to further questioning were either vague, or were definate
cases of abuse. I considered one of the smaller bodies
(12's or 14's) but they didn't have as much of a ballsy
tone as the 410ce, which I have to admit is a bitch to
play when lounging The Koa's are absolutely gorgeous, but WAY out of my budget. I'd have had to sell a jem!

John (and anyone really), I have a friend that is a Taylor dealer and is very friendly with his pricing. He will ship anywhere.

Let's just say I paid about $2000 below MSRP for that K14-C.

Email me if you are interested in one I can give you his name and number.
