tell me all about the RG750

i want to know what people think of them in general, how are the stock pickups, what do they compare to, etc. also, what's a typical going price for one of these used, with a serial starting F 00xxxx, pre-AANJ?

I have two of these fine beasts. Both from 1989. I love the F2 Humbuckers that are in them. I paid approximately $500 Canadian for each of mine.

Great Guitars. None ever had the AANJ as they were discontinued after the 1994 model year.

Great value. If you can find them in good shape.

They are great guitars, really nice. I used to play a friend's a lot in the early 90's, and it had a bigger midrange sound than the 77FP, so it was an arguably better axe for a rhythm guitarist. It really pissed me off at the time that it was sooo good and so much cheaper than my FPs. My brother just bought one (a player condition one), and I'd love to get one. I don't know what a nice one would run you now, but you'd be happy with one if you like the RG series in general.

Just bought an 89 RG760 off ebay last year... Ran me $350 with shipping and hardshell case. It' was about 8/10 condition wise, with a few paint chips, the neck is perfect though, and very little fretwear..

Of course, now that guitar is modded out to be like an RG750.. I don't like single coils in the neck.

My true RG750, an 88, I bought from a pawnshop for $200 in mint+, back when Nirvana was huge.. It's also been heavily modded, though I'm gonna probably puill the swirl pickguard and go back to black... heh

Pics of them are here:

I love the RG7xx series guitars... If I had the money I'd probably have my RG7620 modded out with the 'teeth inlays and binding..
