Thinking about getting another 7.. one with a Floyd

Right now I have an RG7321 which I love, but I'd really like to have one with a nice floyd and better pups. I have plenty of money but I don't want to spend too much, preferably $900 or less, unless it looks really great.

I'd mostly be playing death/technical/prog metal, like Spawn of Possession or Nevermore, so some EMGs would be nice. I want a fast neck too.

Suggestions?

How about a Schecter Jeff Loomis model? Seems to be EXACTLY what you want!

+1! You could also get the RG1527. The neck feels great (but no EMG's)!

The thing about Schecters though is the neck. I own a Hellraiser and I can tell that a 7 string version of that, the neck would be like a baseball bat.

The 1527 looks great, but I can't stand the color.. What colors do most RG7620's come in?

Like most Ibanez's.. black is still the most common color for the RG7620. If you're not a heavy trem abusing, the RG7420 is even more inexpensive.

I'd say a 1527 would be a good choice.

I would suggest trying to get an RG7620 for the better trem - but if your not a dive bomb monster - then a RG7420 would work for you as well.

Yeah, a used 7620 would be a great choice too. There are some decent ones out there every now and then.

DEAN RAZORBACK 7!!! Its a dime series 7 string that just came out. It has EMG 707's and looks sickening. I can't wait to get one.

Congrats on the 1527, I'm glad you got one in Black too!

Because the standard RB colour that they come in is the most boring colour ever. It just does nothing for me whatsoever.

I highly dislike six string hellraisers, but the seven string models are very very comfortable to me!

I don't like scheters so I say 1527 or a rg7620 for around 400 (has a lo-pro 7)
