Thordendal's Custom 7 - The Promised Pic

Uh, so whatever happened to this part of the forum, lots of missing posts? Oh well, no biggie.

Here's a pic of Fredrik Thordendal of Meshuggah's custom Ibanez:

Not that good, I know, but at least it's something.

I like this finish...looks like an RG7620 without the neck p/u and p/u selector. I'd get rid of the tone knob too but thats me hehe. Also seems like the fretboard has no inlays except maybe something at the 12th fret. cant tell if its an inlay or light glaring off some frets

It's "33" positioned like 3's placed vertically on top of each other. No other inlays.

Doesn't really seem that unusual to me, but a nice looking instrument nevertheless.

very nice looking guitar indeed. the LACD 7-string is dual humbuckered (EMG 707), so it can't be that one...

another interesting feature here is a cavity/ depression for the volume knob- correct me if i'm wrong...

please post further details if anyone has any. thanks.

I agree, I like that. *That's a cool feature. *It would be cooler on a carved top body though. *I'd love to see a carved top RG-7.
