Re: Thoughts on the IKEBE Prestige HRG7's?

Dont agree with Dan there... I like my 7620s alot (Im on my third) but the oldschool joint UV's are the best playing 7's for me. (Got a UV777bk UV7bk). I also like the neck on the 2027 alot but its quite differnet form the UV777bk.

However, to get to the point I did own a 1527 for about 6 weeks and hated it every second. Couldnt bear to sell it to someone as a guitar, it was so aweful so I parted it out... It felt heavy, lacked sustain, the unplugged sound was dead and it grated on my nerves... and i had to fight it to play...

I think these HRG7's look fantastic! and for £328!!!!! I think Ill go order one now... the lighter coloured one looks like it would make a great workhorse guitar... begging for a Blaze custom and Air Norton upgrade

Obviously . But im thinking distance wise, its going to cost around the same, if not a bit more. And will still be taxed.

I felt the same with mine, I never really got along with it, even with a pickup change, it sounded too bright, was too heavy, had no sustain, and the trem always felt way to stiff.

I figure if you were to have a 7 string, you'd be wanting to do all sorts of tunings on it, no? If that's the case, then I'd definitely want a fixed bridge (unless I had multiple ones).

Just a thought

Yeah, the ability to switch tunings is a good thing, and to be honest I rarely use the trem these days, but having owned nothing but trem equipped guitars since 1984 I kinda miss it when it isn't there!

Do it man! Let me know if you order. I would also go for the light coloured one. The idea of this guitar is really growing on me.

EDIT: No, like the darker one best.

328 pounds for a made in japan Prestige? That's a no brainer!

Re: Thoughts on the IKEBE Prestige HRG7's?

I never thought about getting a japan model. I always liked them, but they were too expensive. This guitar though is really SWEET!
I love my 1527 prestige neck and I want a fixed bridge guitar for alternate tunings. This guitar has both!!!!

I have to find out how much it costs to ship in Greece.

Dee go for it! It sure looks like a workhorse!

Scarve congrats (post pics!)!

Re: Thoughts on the IKEBE Prestige HRG7's?

Aris, the HRG7 (SOL finish) is at the top of the list right now. Unless something better comes along I'll buy one. Just need to save up a little more money first.

I don't think it will cost much to ship to Greece. You should buy one!

Make sure you post how it went if you do order it! (like we need to ask ).

Got a few things to pay off at the moment, but those 7's really do look awesome.
